Heron’s Meadow Farm, located in Western Howard County, is Maryland’s first tea farm. Home to BLTeas, LLC and MudPi Studios, Heron’s Meadow Farm is host to many inspirational views, wildlife, flavorful teas, honey, and handcrafted stoneware pottery. Visitors can sample some of our teas, shop for their new favorite mug from the mug tree, view our tea fields, and walk through herb gardens. You may want to simply relax on the patio and watch the blue herons, hawks, deer, foxes, and other wildlife. Whether it’s a new tea to try or a new stoneware creation on display in the pottery studio, there is always something exciting happening at Heron’s Meadow Farm.

The mission of BLTeas, located at Heron's Meadow Farm, is to provide quality tea that is grown and processed locally. We have begun harvesting our tea in limited quantities and typically roll out our Maryland grown tea throughout the Summer. Because of colder winters, the Camellia sinensis (tea plant) has a shorter harvest window in Maryland. Therefore, to supplement the crop grown at Heron’s Meadow Farm, BLTeas blends some of our teas with top quality leaves grown around the world.

MudPi Studios was born from the creative passions of Lori Baker and is currently located at Heron's Meadow Farm in Woodbine, MD. MudPi Studio pieces are created from stoneware and reflect Lori’s love of texture, color, and form. Lori experiments with hand-built and wheel thrown work and enjoys engineering new forms that draw on the simplicities and complexities of nature. And Lori's favorite pieces to make? Teapots of course.
